The new heart of Jakarta's creative culture
M Bloc is a creative event space and live music venue for the local community. Located within Peruri complex in Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The site will act as a melting pot for our creative and cultural industries; a place for local musicians, artists, makers and creative freelancers to connect, collab and build their practice and for the community to participate in artistic and creative activities in a variety of mediums.
M Bloc strive to become a regional hub of cultural creativity. Where arts and culture connect through education, participation, contribution, and economy. M Bloc strive to make you feel like you're home in your visit here.
Sebelumnya, lokasi M Bloc adalah bangunan Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang RI (Peruri) pada tahun 1950-an. Seluruh bekas bangunan tua itu, mulai dari pabrik percetakan uang hingga gudang penyimpanannya, kini menjelma sebagai ruang kreatif yang dilengkapi sejumlah merek lokal.
M Bloc mulai dirancang pada awal 2018 oleh Handoko, Glenn Fredly, Jacob, Lance, Wendi, dan Mario. Mereka menggagas ide pembuatan ruang kreatif ini dan mulai membentuk tim direktorat. The Founding Fathers bersama dengan tim direktorat kemudian merancang bersama bentuk arsitektur M Bloc juga identitasnya. Setelahnya, mulailah kegiatan pengumpulan dana dari keenam tokoh tadi juga sponsor berbagai perusahaan.
Pada akhir 2018, mulailah perombakan lokasi Peruri sampai akhir 2019 (26 September 2019) di mana akhirnya terjadilah Grand Opening M Bloc Hub.
Sampai saat ini, M Bloc Hub terus berkembang dan tetap menyediakan ruang bagi siapa saja untuk bersenang-senang di ruang riang ini.
VENUE INFO
M Bloc Hub dengan luas keseluruh 6,500 meter persegi dibagi menjadi beberapa bagian. Bagian utama M Bloc adalah Live House yang lokasinya berada di tiga ruang yang dulunya digunakan sebagai gudang. Bagian depan M Bloc Hub terbagi dalam dua bangunan berderet di sisi kanan dan kiri. Dulunya, dua bangunan ini adalah rumah karyawan Peruri pada masa 1950-an. Dua bangunan ini ditempati oleh sejumlah merek lokal. Mulai dari kuliner, mode, kosmetik, pakaian, buku indie, dan lain sebagainya.
Live House adalah sebuah ruang berluas 450 meter persegi. Daya tampungnya mencapai 400-an orang jika pengunjung berdiri. Live House adalah sebuah ruang untuk mengapresiasi perkembangan seni musik Indonesia.
Sisanya, mencakup sekitar 5000 meter persegi lahan yang terdiri dari pedestrian utara yang menghadap ke Jalan Panglima Polim (terdiri dari delapan space tenant), pedestrian selatan yang menghadap ke arah Live House (juga terdiri dari delapan space tenant), wandelgang (ruang komunal yang memisahkan ruang retail dan Live House), zona mural, ruang pameran (terletak di salah satu Live House), dan mini ampitheater.

How do I get to M Bloc Hub?
We are located in Panglima Polim Street 37, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta. You can get to M Bloc Hub by taking the MRT and get off at either Blok M Station or ASEAN Stasion. Do take a note that we don't provide parking space. We suggest you to get here by taking the public transportation.
How do I rent M Bloc Live House, exhibition room, or M Bloc Hub's Ampitheater?
You may contact our Project Manager by clicking here.
What can I use M Bloc Live House, exhibition room, and ampitheater for?
Generally, you may want to use our Live House for either a mini concert, seminar, or generally a conference. Our exhibition room is obviously made for a visual exhibition. Be it paintings, sculptures, or even installations. Our ampitheater is usually used for a movie screening at night, a performance art show, etc.
Can I rent M Bloc Hub's venues other than those mentioned above?
No, we don't usually rent our venues other than those mentioned previously. But if you do want to use our other venues for your event (usually workshops, open discussion, or any other event with small amount of participant), you may contact our Project Manager here to firstly discuss it.
How do I get my brand to be one of M Bloc Hub's Tenant?
We don't always have an available space for a tenant. Though, if you are interested you may contact our Operational Manager here.
Can my event get sponsored by M Bloc Hub?
No, we don't ever sponsor any outsider event. Though, we would be interested being a media partner for your event.
